State Membership

We provide the platform for states to have open dialogue, meaningful conversation, and fruitful testimony around core problems, successful solutions and everything that falls between. Through NASTD, our state is better prepared to face the technology challenges of tomorrow.” – Rick Woodruff, Executive Director Office of Infrastructure Services, Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Office of Technology

NASTD membership is open to the 50 states, DC and U.S. territories. The membership is divided into four regions: Eastern, Southern, Midwestern and Western. State membership is open to state departments and agencies with primary responsibility for providing IT resources for state entities.

Associate membership is open to any department, agency, or public institution with responsibility for IT. The state’s central IT authority must approve state associate membership.

Your membership in NASTD entitles you to many benefits and services, and there is no limit on how many IT professionals states can designate to share in NASTD member benefits.

Attending Events Designed for State Government IT Professionals

NASTD hosts two regional seminars and an annual conference each year. At all three events, state members can engage with their peers from across the country and corporate affiliate members whose valuable services help state IT run efficiently and effectively.

States receive three complimentary registrations to two in-person events (their regional seminar and the annual conference). Additional registrations can be purchased.

Applying for Travel Grants

If a state member’s request for travel to an event is denied by their state, NASTD offers travel grants to state members to attend events as funds allow.

Building Strong Connections

We know your time is precious, and states are often facing similar IT challenges.
